RiskDept.com ("we", "our" and "us") is in business to provide a variety of safety and risk management related tools and resources to organizations.  This Privacy Statement describes in general terms how we may collect, use, and disclose information to provide our services to you.  This Privacy Statement applies to any personal or business information we collect/receive from/about you, your employees or your business, from any source.  This Privacy Statement may be amended from time-to-time.

'Personal Information' means information about an identifiable individual.  'Business Information' means information, data or details pertaining to a business enterprise.  To meet your needs and serve you, we may collect personal and business information from you, your employees, your business, subcontractors, and affiliates, to be populated on your secure portal as part of the RiskDept.com services.  Examples of information that may be collected to be used in conjunction with RiskDept.com services include, but not limited to, employees names, dates of birth, training certifications, certificates of insurance, HSE prequalification documents, safety records, insurance policies, human resources documents, employee records, etc.  In most cases, the member or user of RiskDept.com will populate this information, but there may be circumstances whereby personnel from RiskDept.com will aid a member or user in populating this information, with implied consent from the user or member.  By seeking membership in RiskDept.com, you are providing your express or implied consent to the collection, use, and disclosure for the above purposes.  With your consent or where premitted by law, we may share your information with other third party service providers or industry partners, as necessary for them to provide services on your behalf and request.  Your personal and business information will be stored securely in 'cloud' storage, but also may be stored and or processed in countries other than Canada and, in such circumstances, shall be subject to the laws of such jurisdictions.  We retain personal and business information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes of our business relationship and as permitted or required by law.  We have implemented physical, organizational, contractual and technological measures to help protect your personal or business information from loss or theft, and unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use or modification.

From time to time, we collect certain usage information from our servers that relates to the use of RiskDept.com, including but not limited to Internet Protocol Addresses, Internet Domain Names, the web browser and operating system used to access RiskDept.com, the files visited, the time spent in each file, and the time and date of each visit.  We use this information to improve our services, and on occasion, we may share this information with our affiliates or other third party service providers or industry partners, to provide them with an indication of the amount of interest in our website for advertising purposes and to improve technical aspects of RiskDept.com. Note, that Privacy and Confidentiality is the cornerstone of our success, and RiskDept.com will never share business information that pertains to our members.
